Allen & Heath AR and AB Series 48kHz I/O Expander

The AR and AB expanders are the 48 kHz half of Allen & Heath's remote I/O range, the boxes that pair with Qu Classic and GLD systems over a single Cat5 run. All three carry the same digitally controlled preamps found on the host console, so gain is set from the desk rather than at the stage.

AR84 is the small one at 8 inputs and 4 outputs, useful as a drum-riser or a keyboard-world box hung off a larger stage rack. AB168 is the standard portable stage box at 16 in and 8 out, in a rugged chassis sized for a mixed band input list. AR2412 is the rack version at 24 in and 12 out, the main stage box in a fixed or touring rig, with the smaller boxes chained from it.
