Allen & Heath GX4816 Expander
The GX4816 is Allen & Heath's largest Everything I/O expander, putting 48 XLR mic/line inputs with individually switched phantom power and 16 XLR line outputs into a single 5U chassis. It runs at 96kHz over the DX protocol, so it drops straight into a dLive, Avantis, SQ, or AHM-64 system as a remote stage box without any format conversion.
A single Cat5e or Cat6 cable over locking EtherCon carries every channel back to the mixer, with runs up to 100 meters, so the rack can sit at the stage while the surface stays at front-of-house. At 8kg it is light enough for a two-person load-in, and the same DX connectors let it daisy-chain with other Everything I/O gear as a system grows.
