Whirlwind podMIXai Active Mic and Music Mixer

The podMIXai does the same job as the podMIX with active circuitry behind it. Music comes in on a single 3.5 mm stereo TRS jack and is summed to mono, the microphone arrives on a balanced female XLR, and the output leaves on a balanced male XLR at mic level as shipped.

Both inputs have variable level controls, with up to 60 dB of gain available on the mic and 20 dB of boost on the music input, and on/off switches for each. A bass cut switch on the mic input reduces handling and wind noise. A three colour LED meter shows power, signal from -30 dB and red from -10 dB. Internal jumpers set phantom power on the mic input, switch the output from mic to line level, and lift the output pin 1 ground.
