URC SEN-VID Video Sensor
The SEN-VID watches a composite video connection and tells the Total Control system whether a picture is being sent. In a theater or a distributed video system that state is a useful trigger: displays wake, lights dim, shades come down, or an input switches, all driven by the fact that a source has genuinely started rather than by an assumption about it.
The sensor terminates in a single 3.5mm plug that goes into a programmable sensor port on a compatible Total Control base station, and status indicator LEDs on the body show what it is seeing during setup. Sensitivity is adjustable, and the run can be extended up to 120 feet with two-conductor cable, which is not included. The body measures 3 by 6 by 1 inches and weighs 3 ounces. A URC Total Control advanced network system controller is required, and installation and programming must be done by a certified URC dealer.
