Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SVR430-VOD-UPG15 Automation and VOD Server Upgrade

This is the upgrade package that brings a Cablecast Pro station up to a Cablecast Pro VOD server. Where the standard Cablecast Pro handles automation and scheduling, the VOD variant adds H.264 (HLS) internet delivery so the same station can transcode and publish its programming to on-demand web links alongside its cable channel. The upgrade moves an existing Cablecast Pro system onto the current-generation VOD server hardware and software.

The Cablecast Pro VOD server ships in a 3RU front-accessible chassis with 6TB of RAID5 content storage and a 500GB RAID1 system drive on Windows Server 2008 R2. It continues to run Cablecast Automation with Carousel Server software, controls the SX video servers, and supports more than 100 Carousel channels while adding internet streaming to the workflow.
