Teradek Spark TX Wireless Video Transmitter
The Spark 4K transmitter is the camera half of Teradek's small HDMI wireless system. It takes 4K30 at 10-bit 4:2:2 HDR over HDMI and sends it to as many as two Spark 4K receivers up to 500 feet away with less than a millisecond of delay, which is fast enough to frame and focus off the far monitor. The link runs on 5 GHz with frequency hopping to dodge congested venue Wi-Fi, and the stream is AES-128 encrypted. Antennas are internal, so there is nothing sticking out to catch on a matte box or a bag.
What makes it a run-and-gun unit rather than a cart unit is the internal battery: roughly two hours of transmission with nothing plugged in, which is enough for a ceremony, a keynote, or a handheld block. It weighs 5.6 ounces, mounts on a hot shoe, and takes USB-C power when you want to top it up or run it indefinitely. In the box: a hot shoe adapter, an ultra-thin 18 inch HDMI cable, and a 30W USB-C power adapter. It pairs only with the Spark 4K receiver.
