Teradek RT MDR.X Three-Axis Lens Control Receiver

MDR.X is the full-size receiver in the Teradek RT lens control system: three dedicated motor ports for focus, iris and zoom, two serial ports for wired controllers and Cinetape, and a camera control port that starts and stops the camera from the hand unit. Motors daisy-chain, so a three-axis build runs on one cable path instead of three.

It weighs 136 g on an aluminium alloy base, which is light enough for a drone or a gimbal and robust enough for a studio build. The FHSS radio holds line of sight to 5,000 ft and hops frequencies to stay clear of interference; an OLED screen handles the menu locally, and the integrated Bluetooth lets the Teradek RT app for iOS configure the unit and drive the lens from a phone.
