Teradek Prism 877 4K 10bit HEVC/AVC Encoder/Decoder Card
The Teradek Prism 877 is an ultra-flexible blade card for the Prism 801/802 rack chassis that can be switched between encoder and decoder duty on demand, rather than being locked to one direction like the 853/873 pair. That flexibility lets a control room repurpose a card from show to show instead of stocking fixed encode and decode counts, and with an optional license for simultaneous encode/decode, a single 877 can effectively double a Prism Rack chassis's working capacity from 9 to 18 bi-directional channels.
It supports up to DCI 4K60 at 10-bit 4:2:2 with HDR, encoding or decoding H.264 (AVC) and H.265 (HEVC) at 250 Kbps to 50 Mbps, plus AAC-LC audio from 32-512 kb/s. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports handle streaming, and the card draws up to 15W from the chassis. It ships in two connector variants - HDMI 2.0 (2x Type-A ports) or 12G-SDI (2x BNC) - chosen to match the video sources and displays already in the rack.
