Sony HVL-F60RM2 GN60 Wireless Radio Flash
The HVL-F60RM2 is Sony's high-output flash for Alpha bodies, rated at guide number 60 (ISO 100, metres, 200 mm setting). Because flash and camera are designed together, the unit communicates with the body in detail: output stays consistent at high continuous shooting speeds, colour temperature data is passed to the camera for accurate auto white balance, and flash control can follow the camera's face detection so the main subject in a group is lit correctly.
Coverage tracks the lens from 20 to 200 mm, or 14 mm with the wide panel, and light distribution adjusts for full-frame or APS-C. Modes are TTL, manual and multi, with 25 manual power levels from 1/1 to 1/256 in 1/3 steps. Recycle time is 0.1 - 2.5 s on alkaline cells or 0.1 - 1.7 s on Ni-MH, and the head handles 200 flashes at 10 per second. The head bounces up to 150 degrees, down 8 and 90 left and right, and radio wireless control is built in for off-camera groups.
