Sony CAC-12 Mic Holder

The CAC-12 is Sony's factory microphone holder for the DXC series of professional camcorders, giving a shotgun or handheld mic a fixed, camera-matched mounting point instead of an aftermarket clamp. It attaches to the camera body in the position Sony designed for it, so cabling and balance stay where the DXC was engineered to carry them.

For an ENG or studio shooter running a DXC body, it's the correct-fit way to carry a microphone on the camera rather than improvising with a universal shoe mount that may not clear the lens, viewfinder or handgrip on that body.
