Sony DWA-01D Digital Wireless Receiver Adaptor
The DWA-01D is the adaptor that lets a DWR-S03D slot-in receiver work away from a camcorder slot. It carries the receiver, powers it from a 4-pin DC input at 10 to 17 V, and breaks the audio out on two Sony SMC9-4S analog outputs plus an AES digital output, with a headphone jack for confidence monitoring.
A BNC word sync input accepts an external clock from 32 kHz to 96 kHz, which matters when the wireless has to lock to the same reference as the rest of a location recording chain. It weighs about 330 grams without the receiver and ships with a mount plate, DC cable and two audio cables.
