Sony DWR-S03D DWX 2-Channel Digital Wireless Slot-In Receiver
The DWR-S03D puts two channels of DWX digital wireless into the slot of a Sony or third-party professional camcorder, which is how most ENG and location crews want it: no receiver hanging off the camera, no extra cabling, audio landing on the camera's own inputs. Fitting a non-Sony body or a mixer bag takes the optional DWA-SLAS1, DWA-SLAU1 or DWA-F03D adaptor.
Reception is true diversity through a double superheterodyne front end on detachable SMA antennas, with bandwidth up to 148 MHz depending on region, which is what gives an operator somewhere to go in a congested metropolitan RF plan. Automatic channel scan and sync sets frequencies quickly on location. Digital output is switchable between -36 and -20 dBFS reference, dynamic range is 106 dB or better, and the receiver runs on anything from 6 to 18 V DC. The SKIT version adds the carrying kit.
