Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver (UC90, 941-960 MHz)
The URX-P40 is the single-channel camera-mount receiver of Sony's UWP-D wireless family, here tuned to the UC90 band above the UHF-TV congestion. It runs true double-tuner diversity, comparing two antennas and switching to the stronger signal to keep dialogue dropout-free on a moving rig. Sony's Digital Audio Processing rides on proven analog transmission, sharpening transients and consonants for clear, natural speech, while NFC SYNC pairs it to a UTX transmitter with a tap and a high-visibility OLED shows channel and level at a glance indoors or out.
The receiver mounts to a camera with the supplied SMAD-P4 shoemount adapter and clips to a belt for run-and-gun work. Audio leaves on a 3.5 mm three-pole locking mini-jack, with both a 3.5 mm output cable and a 3.5 mm to XLR-M cable in the box. Two AA batteries run it for up to six hours, or you can power it over USB for extended shoots.
