Sony CEA-G Series CFexpress Type A Memory Card (240 GB - 1920 GB)
The CEA-G series is Sony's CFexpress Type A card for Alpha and FX cameras with Type A slots. It supports the CFexpress 4 standard over PCI Express Gen4 x1, with read speeds up to 1800 MB/s and writes up to 1700 MB/s, which Sony puts at up to 2.4 times the previous generation. VPG400 certification guarantees a sustained write of at least 400 MB/s, the figure that keeps high-bitrate video recording from dropping frames.
The card body is rated for five times the drop strength and ten times the bending strength of the standard. Capacities run 240, 480, 960 and 1920 GB; pick by how long you roll between offloads. Each card ships in a case with a 5-year service support period, and the MRW-G3 reader (sold separately) unloads it over a USB 40 Gbps connection. Operating range is -12 to +72 degrees C.
