Sontronics ELEVATE Desktop Microphone Boom Arm

ELEVATE is a two-section broadcast-style boom arm for a desk, with a 402 mm upper arm and a 397 mm lower arm on a 102 mm base. That reach puts a microphone in front of a seated presenter and folds it back behind the monitor when the session ends, which is the reason a boom beats a desk tripod once a room has to be used for something else as well.

The arm is steel, plastic and aluminium under a matte black powder coat, and it is rated for microphones between 0.2 and 1 kg. It weighs 1.6 kg on its own. The clamp fits table tops up to 55 mm thick, and a 3/8 inch adapter is included alongside the mounting hardware, so it takes standard mic threads either way.
