Sennheiser EW-DX SKM Handheld Transmitters
The EW-DX SKM is the handheld transmitter for Sennheiser's Evolution Wireless Digital system, using the standard capsule interface so it accepts a wide range of Sennheiser and Neumann capsules (sold separately). Function buttons on the barrel let an operator set channel, gain, and lockout directly from the mic, without pulling it off stage to a receiver.
It transmits 10 mW of RF power for up to 100 m (328 ft) of working range, with a 20 to 20,000 Hz response and 134 dB of dynamic range that handles a whisper or a full shout without gain changes. Power comes from two AA batteries or the optional BA 70 pack for up to 12 hours. It includes the MZQ 1 microphone clamp and is offered in Q1-9 (470.2-550 MHz), R1-9 (520-607.8 MHz), and V5-7 ranges.
