Sennheiser EK IEM G4 Stereo Bodypack Receiver
Add a player to an existing G4 monitor mix and the EK IEM G4 is the part you buy: a stereo bodypack receiver with adaptive diversity from a single antenna, tuned to the same band as the transmitter already in the rack. A pair of IE 4 earphones and two AA cells come with it.
The useful details are on the sides. The limiter runs from minus 18 to minus 6 dB in 6 dB steps and can be switched off entirely, so a singer who wants headroom and an in-ear engineer who wants protection can both be satisfied. High Boost adds 8 dB at 8 kHz for players who need presence over a loud stage. Output is 2 x 100 mW into 32 ohms, which drives a real in-ear cleanly, and the pack runs four to six hours on AA cells or a BA 2015 pack.
