Sennheiser HD 300 PRO Monitoring Headphones
The HD 300 PRO is the closed-back half of Sennheiser's monitoring line, built for the positions where the room is the problem: a live tracking floor, a broadcast truck, a camera position next to a PA stack. Its earcups seal against the head for up to 32 dB of passive attenuation, so what reaches the engineer is the feed rather than the feed plus the room.
The transducer runs 6 to 25,000 Hz at 64 ohms with distortion under 0.1 percent at 94 dB SPL, tuned linear rather than hyped so mix decisions survive the move to speakers. Earpads, headband padding and the 1.55 m cable are all user-replaceable, which matters on a headphone that lives in a road case. If you need an output limiter as well, the HD 300 PROtect adds Sennheiser's ActiveGard circuit in the same chassis.
