sE Electronics X1 A Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone

The X1 A is the least expensive way into sE's X1 series: a 2/3 inch back-electret condenser in fixed cardioid, tuned for vocals, acoustic guitar, drum overheads and room. Self-noise is 16 dB and the mic will take 150 dB SPL with the pad engaged, so it does not run out of headroom in front of a kit or a cabinet.

A switchable 20 dB pad and a 100 Hz low-cut filter sit on the body. Alongside the standard finish, sE offers the 2C finishes in red and white and the 25th Anniversary versions of both. Every version ships with a swivel mic clip and a stand thread adapter.
