sE Electronics Z5600a II Multi-Pattern Tube Condenser Microphone

The Z5600a II is sE's long-running multi-pattern tube mic. A hand-crafted 1 inch true condenser with a gold-sputtered mylar diaphragm sits in front of a single 12AX7, and nine patterns run from omni through cardioid to figure-8 with three steps between each, chosen at the floor box so you are not reaching past a singer to change them.

Self-noise is 13 dB with 81 dB signal-to-noise. A 50 Hz low-cut and a 10 dB pad are switchable on the mic. The included power supply is the same floor-box format used by the RNT, and the mic itself weighs 850 g.
