sE Electronics V7 MC2 Wireless Capsule for Sennheiser Transmitters
The V7 MC2 is the Sennheiser-thread version of the V7 wireless capsule. It carries the same supercardioid dynamic capsule as the wired V7, with an aluminium voice coil and neodymium magnet, so a Sennheiser handheld and a wired V7 on the same stage sound like the same microphone.
A Sennheiser handheld transmitter is required for operation; the capsule is not a complete mic. At 116 g and 87 mm it does not change the balance of the transmitter in the hand. Standard, Black, Red, White, Nickel and Gold finishes are available, and sE publishes a colour compatibility chart for matching transmitter bodies.
