Roland VC-1SC-4K 12G-SDI / HDMI Cross Converter and Scaler
The VC-1SC-4K is a newer, 4K-capable relative of Roland's original VC-1-SC scan converter, built for jobs where a source has to reach multiple displays in different formats at once. It processes video at 4:4:4, 10-bit, and moves between HDMI and 12G/6G/3G-SDI with simultaneous outputs on both, so a single input can feed an SDI-driven LED wall and an HDMI display from the same box. Inputs and outputs cover everything from 720p up through DCI and UHD 2160p at frame rates to 60p, with scaling, ROI cropping, down-conversion, deinterlacing, color correction, and dynamic range conversion built in.
A reference input allows genlock synchronization, and thru outputs on both HDMI and SDI let multiple units cascade without added latency. Audio runs through XLR inputs and outputs at 24-bit/48kHz, with level adjustment, routing, and up to a 3 second delay for lip-sync. The chassis measures 136 x 172 x 42mm, weighs 710g, and is built from metal in Japan; three units fit in a single RAD-3 rack tray, and control is available over USB-C.
