Rode VideoMic Me-C+ Directional Microphone for USB-C Devices
The VideoMic Me-C+ plugs a directional microphone straight into a USB-C phone or tablet. The pressure-gradient electret capsule is cardioid, so it favours whatever the camera is pointed at and rejects the sound behind it, which is the difference between a usable clip and phone audio.
It is bus-powered at 5V/100mA with no battery to charge, converts at 24-bit and 44.1 or 48kHz, and carries a 3.5mm headphone output for monitoring while recording. It is MFi-certified for iOS 17 or higher and works with Android 12 or higher. The microphone weighs 27 grams and is 74mm long.
