The AK-HCU250PSJ is Panasonic\'s budget CCU for long-distance camera runs, built into a compact 2U rack-mount housing rather than the larger UCU-series chassis. It ships as an HD unit with 12G/3G-SDI Quad Link output, and an optional AK-HUC01 interface kit adds 4K operation later without a CCU swap, letting an integrator spec HD now and upgrade the same box when the production moves to 4K.

A 2-channel return input, one intercom line, two audio lines, and a 3G trunk/prompter circuit between camera and CCU cover a standard studio or remote-truck signal chain, and long-distance optical transmission keeps the camera head far from the control room without a repeater.
