Panasonic AK-HBU500GJ Camera Build-Up Unit
The AK-HBU500GJ is a build-up unit that adapts an AK-series camera head to take large studio-type broadcast lenses, adding a rear control panel that matches the layout of Panasonic\'s large-format cameras so operators moving between camera classes do not have to relearn a control layout. Precise horizontal and vertical optical-axis adjustment and smooth mount/removal make lens changes practical in a working studio.
It draws power either externally or through a connected AK-UCU camera control unit, and supplies 12V DC out at up to 7.5A to power lens motors and accessories mounted ahead of the camera head. At 12.8 kg, it adds meaningful weight to a camera chain, so it is built for pedestal and jib mounts rather than handheld or lightweight rigs; some 4K lenses may need a lens-mount adapter, per Panasonic\'s documentation.
