Neumann KK 104 S Cardioid Capsule Head for Sennheiser SKM 5000/5200
The KK 104 S puts a true Neumann condenser capsule on the front of a Sennheiser SKM 5000 or SKM 5200 handheld transmitter. Most stage vocal microphones use a dynamic capsule; this one does not, so a singer working a wireless channel gets the same open top end and detail that a wired Neumann studio microphone would give. The cardioid pattern is the general-purpose choice of the pair, holding a wider sweet spot than the supercardioid KK 105 S for performers who move on the capsule.
It is built for the stage rather than the control room. The head takes 148 dB SPL before 0.5 percent distortion, so a loud vocalist working close will not run it out of headroom, and the grille assembly carries its own pop protection. Frequency response starts at 80 Hz, which keeps handling rumble and stage low end out of the channel without a console filter. The head is sold on its own in nickel or black and threads onto the transmitter you already own.
