MuxLab 500086 Digital Audio Extender Kit, 100m

The 500086 kit moves one digital audio source over a Cat5e/6 run and converts standards along the way. Either a coaxial S/PDIF or an optical TOSlink source connects to the transmitter, and the receiver presents both output types at once so the far end is not tied to one connector.

It handles 24-bit S/PDIF compressed and uncompressed bit streams at sample rates up to 96kHz. The transmitter takes one digital coax RCA and one optical input and hands off to an RJ45, so the long run uses structured cable instead of a fragile optical drop.
