Miller 508 Telescopic Above-ground Spreader

The Miller 508 is a telescopic above-ground spreader for the Miller 402 and 420 two-stage tripods. Sitting up off the floor rather than at the feet, it braces the three legs at an equal or pre-set spread so setup and pull-down are fast and the tripod stays stable on steps, slopes, or uneven rocky ground where a ground-level spreader cannot sit flat.

The telescoping arms let you extend or retract a tripod leg without unclipping it from the spreader, so you can level the head on a slope in seconds. Rubber-tied spreader pins lock each leg quickly and stay captive so they do not get lost in the field.
