Miller 1580 Sprinter II 2-Stage Alloy Tripod
The Miller Sprinter II 2-Stage Alloy tripod (model 1580) is the aluminium version of Miller's fast 100mm bowl legs, built for demanding ENG and studio work at a lower cost than the carbon set. It carries the same 100 lb payload rating and the same high speed independent 2-stage dual leg locks, with both flip-locks grouped on one section so each leg deploys in a single reach. The black anodised alloy tubing is rigid and hard-wearing under heavy camera builds.
The two-stage, three-section legs extend from a working height of 17.3 inches up to 60.4 inches and pack down to a 27.6 inch transport length, weighing 8.3 lb. This is the mid-level spreader ready version, accepting a mid-level spreader to lock the leg angles for stability on uneven terrain. A spreader and rubber feet are not included and are ordered separately.
