Lake People Phone-Amp G108 Headphone Amplifier

The G108 is the true balanced member of the Lake People desktop range. Four amplifiers built on OPA551 power op-amps mean a balanced headphone connection is driven as four separate channels rather than bridged off a single-ended stage, which is what raises channel separation on balanced headphones.

Sources arrive on gold-plated Neutrik XLR and RCA connectors at 10 kOhm, accepting up to +20 dBu. Output impedance is below 0.125 ohm unbalanced and 0.25 ohm balanced, and dynamic range measures better than 126 dB over a 5 Hz to 150 kHz range. PRE-GAIN adapts internal gain in seven steps. The case measures 168 x 49 x 145 mm in machined aluminum, built in Germany.
