Lake People Mic-Amp F355 Microphone Preamplifier
The F355 is the flagship Lake People microphone preamplifier, a 19 inch 1U unit built around a stepped gain switch running 0 to +66 dB in twelve 6 dB steps, with a defeatable fine trim of plus or minus 5 dB on a center-detented pot for the values in between. A 16-step level meter reads 0 to -36 dBr and calibrates from the front panel.
The low cut is variable rather than fixed, sweeping 12 to 250 Hz at 12 dB per octave and switchable out of circuit. A 12 dB pad, switchable 48 V phantom power, phase reverse, a separate clip indicator and a programmable intelligent muting system round out the front panel. Noise measures -129 dB at 60 dB gain, THD+N stays under 0.001 percent, and frequency response runs 5 Hz to 150 kHz at -3 dB.
