Hiwatt T40/20 Head

The T40/20 head is the top of Hiwatt's UK-designed Tube Series: the Hiwatt preamp into a touch-sensitive overdrive channel, pushed through four EL84s, with power scaling that halves the output when the room is smaller than the amp.

The 2024 redesign widened the EQ and revoiced the gain channel, and the Middle control pulls out for a further tone shift. Two ECC83s and an ECC82 handle the preamp, a true spring reverb tank and an effects loop are both footswitchable, and the rear panel carries an extension speaker jack and a line output.
