Hiwatt Hi-5 Head

The Hi-5 head is a five-watt valve amplifier the size of a lunchbox: one ECC83 into one EL84, cathode-biased Class A, running into whatever cabinet is already in the room.

Two channels came with the 2025 revision, along with a valve boost and a post-preamp effects loop. The clean side is voiced for the punchy, forward Hiwatt tone and the overdrive side goes from light compression to full growl without losing definition. Its speaker outputs cover a single 8-ohm cabinet or a 4-ohm and 2 x 8-ohm arrangement, and there is a 3.5mm aux input for playing along.
