Hiwatt Bulldog 300 Head
The Bulldog 300 pairs the analogue Hiwatt bass preamp from the Bulldog 77 with a Class-D output section rated at 300 watts. That swap is where the weight went: the same voicing that has been through a lot of recording sessions and small rooms, in a head light enough to carry to a decent-sized gig.
Four bands of EQ shape the tone, a bypassable limiter adds compression or gets out of the way for headroom, and active and passive inputs match the amp to whichever bass is plugged in. XLR and line outputs send a transparent direct signal to front of house, and the cabinet is birch ply.
