Hiwatt Bulldog 440 Head
Five hundred watts at 8 ohms from a Class-D output section, fed by the original Hiwatt analogue bass preamp. The Bulldog 440 is the head Hiwatt built for players who wanted the range's tone without the range's old weight, and the Bulldog line has been on tour and in studios for over twenty years.
Tone shaping runs two bands of interactive EQ into a bypassable seven-band graphic for more surgical work. A bypassable limiter handles compression, active and passive input levels match the instrument, and XLR plus line outputs feed the desk directly. This is the Stage version, in the traditional birch ply head box.
