Hiwatt Hi-5 Combo 1x12

Five watts, one EL84, one ECC83, and a 12-inch Octapulse 100 to put it through. The Hi-5 combo is the lunchbox amp in Hiwatt's Tube Series, and the 2025 revision added channel switching, a valve boost and a post-preamp effects loop to what used to be a single-channel amp.

The clean channel is the sparkly, forward Hiwatt voice; the overdrive channel runs from lightly compressed breakup to a hard chug and keeps its touch sensitivity the whole way. The power stage is cathode-biased Class A. Outputs are one 1/4-inch jack and a pair for 4 or 8 ohm loads, and channel switching needs the FS202-LJ-Hi-5 footswitch.
