Gitzo 2-Way Fluid Head

A ball head is the wrong tool for following a moving subject: the moment the lock comes off, all three axes move at once. This 2-way head puts a fluid cartridge on the pan and on the tilt with independent locks, so a scope or a long lens can be tracked smoothly on one axis while the other stays put.

Aluminium and magnesium construction keeps it at 0.59 kg with a rated 6 kg safety payload, which suits a mirrorless or DSLR body with a lens up to 200 mm, or a medium spotting scope. Panning is 360 degrees, front tilt runs +90 to -60 degrees, and a pan bar is included. The plate is the GS5370D on a 60 mm base, and the head is rated from -22 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit.
