Fostex 6301DT 4 inch Powered Monitor Speaker with Dante

The 6301DT is the Dante member of Fostex's 6301 family, the small aluminium die-cast cube that has been a machine-room and OB-truck confidence monitor for decades. A single 10 cm full-range cone driver is fed by a 20 W amplifier inside the box, so one cable and one power lead give you a monitoring position anywhere there is a rack space to put it.

Audio arrives either as unbalanced analog on a 6.3 mm TS jack or over the network on an RJ45 running Dante at Cat5e or better, which is what makes this variant worth its price over the 6301N models. Response is quoted 70 Hz to 15 kHz at 85 dB/W at one metre, distortion 0.05 percent at 1 kHz and 1 W. The cabinet measures 120 x 189 x 120 mm and weighs about 2.3 kg, running on universal 100 to 240 V mains.
