Fostex 6301ND Single-Unit Powered Reference Monitor
The Fostex 6301ND is a compact powered reference monitor built around a single 10cm (4-inch) full-range driver and a 20W Class-D amplifier in one small cabinet. It is the confidence monitor you find on broadcast desks, edit bays, and PA racks where one honest near-field speaker has to check a feed at arm's length. The flat front panel keeps the power and level controls out of the way so a knob is not knocked mid-session.
The ND is the digital member of the family: it accepts an AES/EBU digital stream on XLR as well as an unbalanced 1/4-inch (TS) analog input, so it can lock straight to a digital feed without an outboard converter. It runs on universal AC and drops into an auto standby mode to save power between cues. Each 6301ND ships as a single unit rather than a stereo pair.
