DPA Microphones DPA MMC4018V d:facto Softboost Supercardioid Vocal Capsule
The MMC4018V is the softboost voicing of DPA's d:facto vocal capsule: a supercardioid condenser element with a 3 dB lift around 12 kHz, so a voice keeps its air without the top being pushed. It handles 160 dB SPL peak, which is the reason it survives a singer eating the grille.
On its own it is a capsule. Thread it onto the wired d:facto handle for a phantom-powered XLR microphone, or onto one of the d:facto wireless adapters and it becomes the capsule on a Sennheiser, Shure, Sony, Lectrosonics or Wisycom handheld transmitter. Specifications are quoted for the capsule measured as a complete 4018V.
