DPA Microphones DPA 4066 CORE Omnidirectional Headset Microphone
The 4066 is the omnidirectional headset DPA built its reputation on: broadcasters, Broadway houses, lecture halls and auditoriums have used it for years because it sounds clean and open rather than processed, and because it survives eight shows a week. The omni capsule is far less sensitive to exact boom placement than a directional one, which matters when a dresser is fitting it in the dark.
It carries a pre-polarized condenser capsule with a soft boost grid, reaching 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a 3 dB lift from 8 kHz up to keep speech crisp against a wireless bodypack. Order the headband in black, brown or beige, and terminated for the transmitter you actually own: MicroDot, 3-pin LEMO for Sennheiser SK, TA4F Mini-XLR for Shure, or Mini-Jack.
