DPA Microphones DPA 4660 Series CORE Heavy Duty Omnidirectional Lavalier
The heavy duty 4660 series is the lavalier DPA built for kit that goes out every day: a thicker 2.2 mm cable, a reinforced strain relief where cables usually die, and a 5.4 mm capsule housing that survives being clipped, unclipped and coiled by a different operator each morning. The capsule itself is a full omnidirectional pressure transducer, not a compromise part.
Three voicings share the body. The 4660 is the normal-SPL version for speech; the 4661 is the loud-SPL version for singers and for placements close to the mouth; the 4671 adds a presence boost of about 5 dB between 4 and 6 kHz for intelligibility in noisy field work. MicroDot keeps the mic modular for DPA DAD adapters, and the LEMO version is factory-terminated for Sennheiser SK bodypacks.
