DigiTech Bass Whammy
The Bass Whammy is the Whammy pitch shifter rebuilt around a bass guitar's range and note detection. Two tracking modes decide how it behaves: Classic keeps the tracking artifacts of the original Whammy, the glitch that made the effect famous, while Chords uses polyphonic tracking for a smooth shift that holds together under a full chord. The expression pedal sets the bend amount, and the selector knob picks between Whammy, Harmony and Detune effects.
It is true bypass and MIDI controllable, so it can sit in a switching rig and drop out of the signal path entirely when it is off. Power is 9 VDC from the included external adapter, drawing under 265 mA. The box also holds a quick start guide, safety and compliance sheet, warranty card and a DigiTech sticker.
