DigiTech HammerOn
HammerOn is built on DigiTech's Whammy pitch engine but driven by two footswitches instead of a treadle. PITCH 1 is always a momentary hammer-on: press it and the note jumps to a programmed interval above or below what you are playing, release it and the pitch drops back. PITCH 2 is programmable through the MODE button, working as a second hammer-on, as Impossible mode that alternates between two pitch amounts, or as one of three latching sequential transpositions.
Two more buttons change the character entirely. DRY+ blends the dry guitar back in, turning a pitch jump into a harmony. TRILL mimics rapid presses of the footswitch. Combined with the sequence modes, DigiTech counts seven distinct pedals in the box: hammer-on, hammer-on with trill, harmony-on, the Impossible dual alternating shift, drop/capo sequence, sequence with trill, and sequence with dry and trill. Pressing both footswitches together drops the unit into true bypass.
