Datavideo DAC-90
The DAC-90 is an SDI audio de-embedder that strips embedded audio out of a 3G/HD/SD-SDI feed and delivers it as analog line-level audio on mini XLR connectors. It auto-detects the incoming video format up to 1080p 60 and hands the four selected channels off to monitors, recorders, switchers, or an audio mixer, which is exactly what you need when the sound arrives embedded in the video but the rest of the rack expects discrete audio.
Up to sixteen embedded channels are addressable, four at a time, assigned with the built-in DIP switches, and a SMPTE or EBU level setting matches the unit to your plant standard. A re-clocked SDI loop-through passes the original video on untouched so the de-embed happens inline, and a row of LED meters shows levels at a glance. It runs on 12V DC and is compact enough to sit alongside a switcher or drop into a half-rack tray.
