Crestron CRESNET-NP-WH Non-Plenum Cresnet Control Cable, White
Cresnet carries control data and 24VDC device power on the same four conductors, and this is the cable Crestron certifies for it. Inside one white PVC jacket sit a twisted blue/white pair of 22 AWG stranded bare copper for the data and a red/black pair of 18 AWG stranded bare copper for 24VDC and ground. The data pair is wrapped in a 100% aluminum/polyester shield with a 24 AWG tinned copper drain, which is what keeps the bus clean where the run shares a tray or a stud bay with line voltage.
The jacket measures 0.25 in. nominal and the cable is rated from -4 to 167 deg F, so the same reel serves an equipment closet and an unconditioned ceiling. Take the 1000 ft spool for a full building pull or the 500 ft box for a single floor. Substituting a generic 4-conductor cable is the usual cause of Cresnet voltage-drop faults on long runs: the conductor gauges here are what the bus power budget assumes. Where the run crosses an air handling space, use the plenum-rated CRESNET-P-WH-SP1000 instead.
