The C98 pairs a cardioid condenser capsule with a flexible gooseneck and a drum rim mount, so it clamps directly to a tom, snare rim or percussion stand instead of taking up floor space on a boom. That makes it a practical choice for drum kits, congas and other instruments where a standing mic just gets in the way.

Running on 48V phantom power, it handles up to 140 dB SPL before distorting, which covers close-mic'd percussion at full volume, and CAD includes the rim mount hardware in the box.
