The E60 is part of CAD's Equitek line, built around a 16mm, 24k gold-sputtered externally-biased condenser capsule in a cardioid pattern. It's a general-purpose studio and stage mic that leans on CAD's proprietary discrete linear power supply for a low-noise, linear signal path.

A 4-position high-pass filter (flat, 40 Hz, 85 Hz, 122 Hz) lets an engineer dial out rumble or proximity buildup on the fly, and a 10 dB non-capacitive pad adds headroom for louder sources without an external pad.
