Blackmagic ATEM Camera Converter
The ATEM Camera Converter is the camera-end box in Blackmagic's optical fiber production kit, giving you everything a camera needs on a long run over a single fiber. It takes the camera's SDI or HDMI output and converts it to optical fiber, while the switcher's program feed travels back the other way so the operator can monitor the show. Over single-mode fiber the link reaches long distances between the camera position and the switcher.
Because it handles more than picture, it makes a remote camera feel local: an internal rechargeable battery gives more than three hours of runtime, talkback is embedded on SDI audio channels 15 and 16, tally comes back from the switcher, and balanced 1/4-inch TRS microphone inputs plus 3.5mm talkback mic and headphone jacks cover audio at the camera. It carries Blackmagic part number BMD-SWRCONV.
