Blackmagic HyperDeck Extreme Control
HyperDeck Extreme Control adds a traditional broadcast deck panel to the HyperDeck Extreme, laid out the way an operator expects with transport buttons, timecode and deck status readouts and a large search dial with an electronic clutch for jog, shuttle and positioning. It puts hands-on machine control back in front of the operator instead of relying on a touchscreen or software.
Eight rear-mounted RS-422 ports let it drive up to eight decks over industry-standard control, and the RS-422 has been tested against legacy broadcast machines such as the BVH-2000 series 1-inch C format, D2, Betacam SP and Digital Betacam decks, so it can run a modern HyperDeck plant and old tape machines side by side. It connects over 1 Gb/s Ethernet and a USB Type-C port, runs from internal 100-240V AC with a 4-pin XLR 12V DC backup input, and fits a half-rack 3RU space. It ships as Blackmagic part number BMD-HYPERD/RSTEXCTR.
